posts i like
i've been consuming quite a few blog posts and/or articles and i wanted to make a small list of some posts that have stuck with me, so i can come back to them and appreciate them again another day.
What I'm trying to say is: I notice the small victories adding up. I manage the dishes. My room stays cleaner longer. I only have to do a weekend shutdown to tackle laundry once every few months instead of every month. I fall off of habits but I get back on them the next week instead of a month or two later. If I spend a night crying, I can wake up without the ghost of that feeling hanging over me.
goodness, where do i even start with this post? it's so filled with hope. it helped me notice the little things that are so much easier for me to do now when i used to struggle with them so much. and i'm gladder everyday for what i have, even if i suck at so much, because today i might be miserable, but tomorrow i won't be.
this is a really "you are a genius"-type post and i'm starting to think this is going to be a recurring motif in my completely nonfictional life.

Today is a good day, and you are full of good things, and there are even better things waiting for you.
i really like the warmth that radiates from the happier posts of this bearblogger. it's a good feeling, kind of like how it feels to be in the warmth of sunlight on a breezy day.
I hope you know I smile when your name pops up in my messages. I hope you know I'm sorry.
hm. if i comment on this, it'll probably be too revealing.
yes.. .cat......
It’s only later that I read that when you give a depressed person advice on how to get better, there’s a good chance all you are doing is telling the person that you just don’t get it.
I learned, very gradually, that a friend’s job in these circumstances is not to cheer the person up. It’s to acknowledge the reality of the situation; it’s to hear, respect and love the person; it’s to show that you haven’t given up on him or her, that you haven’t walked away.
i read this a while back and i see the difference it makes in making people seem like you're interested in what they're saying (and also the sneaky side effect of not saying much about yourself as opposed to them) alhamdulillah :]
p.s. this was written a while back, and i thought i'd add more posts but i can just do that in another post. attempting to draft something to perfection is stopping me from publishing drafts at all...
